How will you contribute to our dietary team? As our newest Cook II, you will:

  • Plan, coordinate, oversee, and inspect work activities of a moderate sized dietary staff to ensure work is completed efficiently, timely, and properly
  • Oversee a major part of meal preparation for hospital patients, serving, and cleanup in the kitchen to ensure meals are ready on time, served correctly and cleanup is thorough
  • Teaches new dietary staff the proper methods of volume food preparation and utilization of kitchen utensils to ensure job proficiency
  • Order food supplies and complete inventory control to ensure products/ingredients are sufficiently supplied
  • Cook vegetables and meats, carves and serves meats, and makes salads in order to prepare complete balanced meals and ensure portion control for hospital patients
  • Oversee the cleaning of kitchen utensils and kitchen surfaces in order to maintain sanitary and cleanliness standards
  • Plan, direct, oversee, and coordinate the work of dietary staff
  • Menu planning and preparation for a large hospital patient population

Minimum Qualifications:

Two (2) years' experience in large scale institutional/hospital food preparation including serving and cleanup.
