FACILITIES DIRECTOR
RSU1 is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Facilities Director to oversee the planning, maintenance, safety, and efficient operations of all district buildings and grounds. We are looking for a collaborative, solutions- oriented leader who excels in facility management, capital planning, and creating safe, welcoming learning environments for students and staff. The position requires a combination of management-level administration and hands-on field work.
This is an exciting time to join RSU 1. The district is preparing to build a new elementary school, and we are committed to sustainability, energy efficiency, and reducing our carbon footprint.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement short and long-term facilities plans, including deferred maintenance, capital projects, and sustainability initiatives.
Oversee building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, security, etc.) to ensure proper performance and code compliance.
Manage and monitor facilities budgets, contracts, procurement, and vendor relationships.
Promote safe, clean, and efficient learning environments.
Supervise, train, and evaluate facilities and custodial staff.
This is a full-time, year-round position beginning on July 1, 2026. Competitive salary and benefits package commensurate with experience and qualifications.
