Ultrasonographer - Ultrasound SMHC
Sonographer utilizes clinical and technical knowledge to obtain high quality sonographic images and detailed patient worksheets that will provide the radiologist with the diagnostic information necessary for accurate interpretations. Promotes a smooth flow of patients through the department and helps to create a calm and supportive atmosphere, performs tasks as required, paying attention to detail and accuracy, conducts all interactions with patients and personnel in a courteous, respectful manner while maintaining confidentiality.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
Completion of an approved Ultrasound program preferred.
Previous experience preferred.
RDMS required or able to obtain within 1 year of completion of school.
Participates in continuing education and maintains knowledge through appropriate technical journals, in-services and education programs in order to maintain and enhance expertise.
Must have strong interpersonal skills.
CPR certification required.
One month or graduate of AMA approved school of ultrasound preferred.
