Schedule: Pool/Per Diem
POSITION SUMMARY: Under the supervision of the Cardio-Pulmonary & Medical Imaging Director, the Cardio-Pulmonary & Polysomnography Assistant is responsible for appointment scheduling, daily confirmation of procedures, charging procedures, processing and filing reports, inventory control, assisting with billing inquiries, pre-registration for patient services, verifying billing and insurance information and organization of outpatient testing. Clinical responsibilities include performing EKGs, setting up holter monitors, downloading of holter monitors, set up of event monitors and advance registration of these procedures.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: High school graduate or equivalent required. Medical terminology coursework preferred. Rhythm recognition course within one year of hire. Knowledge of office practices and office equipment required. A moderate level of computer skills preferred.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Previous secretarial experience, excellent organizational skills and on-the-job training in performing clinical duties required. High degree of customer service and problem solving.
LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS:Active BLS certification required.
