Information and Technology Intern

Reports to


General job description

The hired intern should expect to work between 20 and 40 hours/week.  The intern will be able and expected to perform computer and network troubleshooting and maintenance, software and hardware installation and configuration, and miscellaneous technical support. There is a potential for moderate to significant driving requirements. Please note: administrative or sales tasks may be required more than IT tasks in certain weeks.  

Key areas of responsibilities

Include, but not limited to:

  • Follow all company policies and procedures, including advised safety procedures
  • Perform on or off-site computer and network troubleshooting and maintenance
  • General hardware and software installation, configuration, and future maintenance
  • Provide general technical support to clients

Additional responsibilities

Include, but not limited to:

  • Written reports
  • General customer support
  • Identify and survey potential clients on technological standing/future needs
  • Perform additional miscellaneous administrative/sales tasks as directed

Term of internship

Term proceeds to student graduation (if desired) assuming satisfactory involvement and IT proficiency. Future employment proceeding date of graduation negotiable based on student involvement and performance.

Qualifications and requirements

  • Age 18+
  • Professional
  • Positive academic standing
  • IT and general computer and network knowledge and experience
  • Valid driver’s license. Clean driving record
  • Personal vehicle, valid registration and insurance (must submit copies)
