Schedule: Regular Full-time
POSITION SUMMARY: Functions as a critical member of the medical office team working toward the goals of the practice with a focus on providing optimum service to all patients. Partnering with the providers you will coordinate patient flow, obtain temperature, pulse, blood pressure, weight, and administer care to patient as directed by physicians. You will be responsible for maintaining patient charts and other medical records, developing and maintaining interpersonal relationships with patients and families, keeping patient information confidential and respecting patient's right to privacy.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: Graduate from an accredited college program for medical assisting (diploma or two-year degree) OR equivalent one-year work experience.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Previous experience in a medical office preferred.
LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS: Certified Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, NCMA or CCMA) OR graduates eligible to be certified within 18 months of hire, OR graduates completing externship and eligible to be certified within 18 months of hire. Must maintain national certification (CMA, RMA, NCMA or CCMA).
CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: BLS certification, required.
