Full job description
South Portland High School is seeking a Long Term Substitute Science Teacher with Life Science Certification to join our dynamic and vibrant community of learners and educators.
Qualified candidates must:
-Possess a passion for science and teaching science to students
-Safely integrate laboratory activities, demonstrations and technology to enhance instruction and student outcomes.
-Collaborate with colleagues and form positive relationships with other staff members
-Have the ability to differentiate instruction to a diverse population of students to assist all students in mastering the subject matter, despite different skill levels.
-Establish an equitable learning environment where all students feel safe, valued, and empowered to express themselves.
-Collaborate with colleagues and administration to support school-wide PBIS initiatives and contribute to a respectful, supportive school climate.
-Have strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
