About Camden Rockport Middle School
Camden Rockport Middle School, housed in a beautiful new building, serves just under 400 students in grades 5 ? 8 from the towns of Camden and Rockport. CRMS has been implementing a Project Based Learning model of curriculum and instruction and values students' active engagement in the learning process.
Position Summary
Five Town CSD & MSAD #28 are now hiring year-round Custodians for our schools. The normal work schedule for these positions is 3 PM to 11:30 PM. Successful candidates will be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekend rotation, and be willing to adapt to different assignments from day to day.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain a clean, safe, and functional environment within the school buildings and grounds, including but not limited to:
- General floor care and cleaning,
- Restroom maintenance, including sanitizing and stocking,
- Waste management,
- Window/Wall cleaning.
- Perform minor repairs to ensure the proper functioning of building systems.
- Aid in set-up for special events.
- Ensure clean school grounds, including litter removal.
- Aid with snow/ice removal as needed.
Qualifications/Skills
- Knowledge of safety procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power machinery.
- Ability to perform a wide range of cleaning duties.
- Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and other staff.
- Time management and prioritization skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Dexterity in problem-solving.
Requirements
- Background check, including fingerprinting.
- Maine Department of Education CHRC Approval.
Pay and Benefits
- Pay is $20.27 - $25.72 per hour based on experience, within the parameters of the applicable contract
