The Department of History and Philosophy at the University of New England seeks applicants for a full-time Visiting Assistant Lecturer in for the 2019-2020 academic year. The start date for this position is August 19, 2019.

The successful candidate will teach sections of a two-semester U.S. history survey sequence, and lower- and upper-division courses for history majors and non-majors. Candidates with the ability to teach courses in U.S. medical history are desirable.


An M.A. or Ph.D (preferred) in History or a related discipline is required by the start of employment. Candidates with undergraduate teaching experience are preferred. Candidates with the ability to teach medical history courses are encouraged to apply
