The primary responsibilities of this position include teaching first-year introductory biology sections for majors and/or non-majors, and anatomy and physiology sections for health professions majors.


A master’s or doctoral degree in Biology or relevant field is required by the time of appointment. The desired candidate will have demonstrated excellence in undergraduate education. Individuals with significant experience using technology and digital media are encouraged to apply.

Location. The Department of Biology’s courses are offered on the Biddeford campus, with over 4,000 feet of waterfront where the Saco River meets the Atlantic Ocean. Biddeford is located about 20 miles south of Portland and less than 2 hours from Boston, in an area that offers a wide range of recreational and cultural opportunities.
