GENERAL PURPOSE

Stock Plan Administrator/Compensation Analyst: Assists in the administration of the employee equity plan. Processes equity transactions with outsourced vendor for employee exercise of stock options and other equity award activity. Answers employee questions and resolves problems regarding equity plan and grants. Maintains employee equity database, ensuring data is accurate and updating information as needed. Runs required and requested equity summary and detail reports. Prepares and distributes grant documentation and agreements for new-hire and ongoing grants. Provides support for ad-hoc special projects related to equity granting and reporting. Acts as a resource to participants and internal and external business partners providing them with complete and accurate equity information. Performs staff support activities to develop, implement and administer compensation policies and programs. Audits jobs for content and evaluates job descriptions reflecting job responsibilities, activities, duties and requirements. Participates in compensation surveys to collect and analyze competitive salary information to determine company's competitive position. Reviews proposed salary adjustments and new hire offers for conformance to established guidelines, policies, and practices. Recommends corrective or alternative actions to resolve compensation-related problems. Reviews requests for new or revised classifications to determine appropriate survey benchmark job and incumbent experience/skill level.  Contributes to recommendations regarding the development of company salary structure, FLSA exemptions, job revisions, and organizational structures.  Reviews existing and proposed statutory requirements governing compensation administration and recommends appropriate courses of action.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Equity Plan Administration.   Administering all aspects of the global equity program, including maintenance of data (e.g., new hires, terminations, etc.) in the equity system, and ensuring all participant equity plan transactions (grants, exercises, vestings, forfeitures, etc.) are  correctly processed and settled in a timely manner. Perform periodic reviews of equity and participant data to maintain high level of accuracy and data integrity. Run detailed reports for internal and external business partners to provide requested equity information.

2. Equity System Administration.  Assist in the administration and maintenance of equity information within the Equity System of record.  Serve as the point of contact to assist employees with questions and resolve issues.

3. Base Compensation Administration.  Administers market analysis process for the corporation and its subsidiaries through survey participation, collecting and analyzing benchmark data, and conducting job evaluations to ensure the company’s compensation programs remain  market competitive.  Provides support for the annual salary planning process. Assists in the maintenance of the organization’s base compensation structure and recommends changes to the structure, as needed, to maintain the integrity of the structure and support business needs.  Analyzes cost impact of compensation changes and trends and makes recommendations to manage such costs.

 

4. Variable Compensation.  Supports the administration of variable compensation plans for the corporation and subsidiaries.  Acts as back-up for the administration of Short-term-incentive plans.  Provide support for tracking and monitoring spot bonuses, special incentives, and retention bonuses.

5. Compensation Review.  Conduct analysis and provide recommendations on compensation for job offers, promotional increases, or market adjustments as requested. Provide additional support on the annual review of incumbent pay (Position in Range, aka PIR) and incentive targets.   

Qualifications

 

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

Minimum Required Qualifications for Consideration 

• 2-5 years of experience in compensation/finance roles

• Demonstrated high level attention to quality/detail and ability to demonstrate long-range impact of options considered

• Demonstrated experience administering equity and compensation plans

• Advanced Excel skills, solid PowerPoint and Word skills

• Moderate level of compensation or financial modeling and analysis experience with proven ability to recommend and implement results of this analysis

• Strong understanding of equity and compensation regulations and their implementation

• Able to build and maintain productive working relationships

• Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, complex environment

Preferred Qualifications

• BA / BS preferred.

• Experience working for a publicly traded company

• Demonstrated initiative/self-motivation skills

• Demonstrated collaboration and negotiation skills

• Experience analyzing and administering international compensation programs
