Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center seeks an additional child psychologist to join our Pediatric Neuroscience practice. Our interdisciplinary team includes developmental pediatricians, neurologists, psychologists, and social workers, as well as occupational, physical, and speech/language therapists. We provide comprehensive services including interdisciplinary assessments, developmental evaluations, outpatient consultations, and medical management. Candidates should have a Ph.D. or Psy.D. in clinical psychology from an accredited program, have completed one year of post-doctoral training, and be licensed in the State of Maine, or immediately eligible for the same. The ideal candidate will have broad experience in pediatric psychology and be able to provide consultation to youth with a wide range of chronic or acute medical conditions. Common presenting concerns include adherence to medical regimen, coping with illness, somatic symptom disorders and related conditions.
Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center is the regional center for advanced pediatric care. Services include level III NICU, PICU, established pediatric sedation program, dedicated neonatal care transport, and critical care air transport. A broad spectrum of pediatric sub-specialists, including an innovative outpatient weight management program, is available in addition to outstanding primary care services. Opportunities for research are available through our Clinical Research Center.
