Patient Access QA Associate
This position reports to the manager of MaineHealth Patient Access Quality Assurance in supporting Patient Access across all MaineHealth organizations. The primary focus is to provide meaningful quality feedback to Patient Access Departments across MaineHealth, by tracking and trending errors found on Quality Review, Claim Edit, DNB and Hospital/Professional Billing/Coding reroute WQ's. The Quality Assurance team is responsible for researching and auditing accounts for Privacy, Billing and education purposes. The Quality Assurance team members work collaboratively with MaineHealth Access Training to ensure that error trends are incorporated into Super User meetings, documentation and curriculum.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
Must have spent at least one year as a Patient Access employee in a MaineHealth location.
Must demonstrate expert level knowledge in Patient Access workflows, policies, procedures and insurance payors.
Must have a background in Quality Review at a MaineHealth Patient Access department.
Must have met or exceed quality and productivity standards for prior six months.
Must function efficiently and independently.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong knowledge of Epic and other information systems (Excel, Word etc.).
Demonstrates the "Values in Action."
Understands department goals.
Demonstrates a personal investment in the culture of continuous improvement.
