This Senior Business Analyst contract role is a fully remote opportunity focused on delivering moderately complex, cross-functional, and enterprise-wide business and process analysis within an Agile delivery environment. The Senior Business Analyst will partner closely with business, IT, and vendor teams, leading requirements management, stakeholder engagement, and enterprise systems impact analysis to support large-scale transformation initiatives.

This is a high-impact, transformation-focused Business Analyst role, not a traditional requirements-gathering position, with a core objective of establishing consistency, governance, and organizational maturity in how requirements are defined, documented, validated, and executed across the enterprise.

Key Responsibilities

As the Senior Business Analyst, you will support enterprise and platform initiatives by leading cross-functional business and process analysis across systems, data extracts, integrations, and workflows.

Business Analysis & Delivery Execution

Perform moderately complex business and process analysis across business, IT, and vendor domains
Write, refine, and manage high-quality, developer-ready requirements and user stories
Lead backlog refinement activities, ensuring completeness and clarity before development begins
Elicit, document, validate, and manage requirements throughout the project lifecycle
Maintain end-to-end requirements traceability from planning through post-production
Analyze downstream impacts to workflows, systems, data, and processes
Create process models and documentation to support analysis and improvement efforts
Support user acceptance testing by defining acceptance criteria, reviewing test artifacts, and coordinating UAT

BA Governance & Process Maturity

Establish and enforce consistent Business Analysis standards across teams
Define and implement:
- Definition of Ready (DoR)
- Definition of Done (DoD)
- Acceptance criteria frameworks
Introduce governance checkpoints and validation guardrails to ensure work is truly shovel-ready
Create scalable, repeatable requirement processes that can be applied consistently across teams
Support enterprise analysis efforts including problem definition, business case development, scope, and feasibility

Stakeholder Engagement & Organizational Influence

Build strong working relationships with business users, Product Owners, engineers, vendors, project teams, and leadership
Collaborate closely with Product Owners, clarifying roles and responsibilities without acting as a replacement
Develop and adapt communication plans to meet the needs of diverse stakeholder groups
Facilitate requirement reviews and drive stakeholder alignment and consensus
Educate and coach teams on best practices, balancing structure with practical adoption
Mentor and provide basic coaching to junior Business Analysts

Required Experience and Skills

Experience working as a Senior Business Analyst on enterprise-level initiatives
Demonstrated expertise in Business Analysis governance, standards, and process maturity
Strong experience working in Agile or hybrid delivery environments
Experience working in regulated or compliance-heavy environments (insurance, banking, fintech, etc.)
Strong understanding of business analysis techniques, requirements management, and stakeholder engagement
Experience analyzing complex systems, integrations, and business processes
Ability to assess scope, complexity, and impacts across business and technology domains
Strong communication, documentation, and facilitation skills
Experience working cross-functionally with business, IT, and external partners
Familiarity with Agile or hybrid project environments
Ability to work fully remotely and collaborate closely with project teams

Preferred Experience

Experience within Customer Communications Management (CCM) platforms
Exposure to OpenText Exstream (preferred, not required)
Experience with document generation or customer communications such as letters, emails, notifications, or reports
Financial services or insurance domain experience
Conceptual understanding of data models, mappings, and transformations
Ability to interpret data structures and outputs; basic familiarity with SQL concepts is a plus

Work Arrangement

Contract Fully remote position
Standard schedule: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Eastern
Core collaboration aligned to Eastern Time business hours (8:00 AM to 5:00 PM ET)
Occasional flexibility required for cross time-zone coordination
