We are seeking an Application Developer to support and enhance business-critical systems in a long-term, fully remote contract role. This position focuses on production support, SQL-based development, and cross-functional collaboration, requiring strong technical skills and the ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

TOP (3) REQUIRED SKILLSETS:
• Production escalation management and log/trace analysis
• SQL Proficiency
• Written and verbal communication, including technical-to-non-technical translation

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM (EST)
Experience Level: Intermediate
Contract Length: 12 months

Required Skills

Production escalation management, including log and trace analysis
Strong proficiency with SQL and relational databases
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to translate technical concepts to non-technical audiences

Nice to Have

Experience with AWS and/or Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
Java or JavaScript/TypeScript development
Familiarity with Agile methodologies and Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence)

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, debug, and document application enhancements
Support and maintain production systems in response to business needs
Collaborate with project teams to define requirements and implement solutions
Ensure system designs integrate effectively with related applications
Provide high-level customer service and user support
Contribute to documentation and, where appropriate, system architecture

What We’re Looking For

Experience with procedural and object-oriented programming
Familiarity with application development of lifecycles and methodologies
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and teamwork skills
Ability to work independently in a remote environment
Proficiency with Microsoft desktop tools

Additional Information
This role involves extensive computer and phone use. Occasional travel may be required.
