MRI Technologist - Radiology MRI
This is specialized clinical work performing and assisting with Magnetic Resonance Imaging for use in the evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of patients.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
Ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail for up to fifty percent of work time.
Knowledge of Magnetic Resonance equipment, procedures and techniques, magnet safety and protection as well as anatomy and physiology at a level generally acquired through completion of a two year program in an A.M.A. approved school of Radiologic Technology.
Prior experience as an Angiographic Technologist or a CT Scanning Technologist.
Analytical ability to determine the best method of providing requested images based on the patient’s physical state and pathologies.
Interpersonal skills necessary to explain MR procedures to patient to allay apprehensions and elicit cooperation. Must communicate effectively with radiologists.
Ability to perform/adapt to the changes associated with two different work environments with different equipment.
