Position Overview: We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Information Security Intern to join our IT Security team. This internship offers hands-on experience in information security, providing an opportunity to work on critical projects that protect our business and customer data.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the implementation and maintenance of control frameworks, and both legislative and regulatory requirements.
  • Review PCI, NIST-CSF, NIST-Privacy, and CIS frameworks to assist in building controls assurance program.
  • Partner with Cybersecurity Incident Response, and Attack Surface Management teams to support cybersecurity and technology risk.
  • Support the development and enforcement of security policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Participate in security awareness training and education programs for employees.
  • Document compliance and security processes and create reports with metrics, summaries, and advice.
  • Work with the Privacy team to implement new Privacy legal and regulatory requirements for the organization.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Legal and Compliance, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Basic understanding of information security principles and practices.
  • Basic understanding or familiarity with security tools and technologies such as firewalls and antivirus software.
  • Basic knowledge of network protocols and operating systems (Windows, Linux).
  • Ability to read and summarize compliance and/or legal documentation into key points and messages.
  • High level of integrity and attention to detail.
  • Passion for learning and adapting to new challenges and excited to be part of building new programs and processes.
