The Assistant Academic Program Manager plays a key role at the program level in the successful implementation of CGPS’s vision for educational growth and innovation. To this end, the primary role of this position is to serve as the Academic Integrity Officer for the Science Prerequisites for Health Professions program. In addition, the Assistant Program Manager is responsible for monitoring student enrollment data and making recommendations to the Program Manager regarding course scheduling. This position functions as a member of the college’s online program administrative team and works to implement a system of continuous improvement and innovation at the academic program level. This position involves extensive collaboration and communication within the CGPS and across UNE academic units that house the teaching faculty for the program. This position requires the individual to be located on the Portland campus.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a point person for academic integrity concerns, including serving as a liaison with online proctoring affiliates, investigating allegations of academic dishonesty, and making recommendations for changes to help ensure academic integrity within SPHP courses.
  • Collect and analyze student enrollment data for each start date and make ongoing recommendations to the Program Manager regarding course scheduling.
  • Collect and analyze program level data and identify opportunities for change and/or improvements. (including course evaluations, course completion data, and assessment data)
  • Create a positive environment within the program and with other CGPS units that supports innovation, teamwork, and successful outcomes.
  • Complete University new employee orientation and sexual harassment training within 30 days of hire.
  • Understand and comply with the University of New England Safety Manual.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the Academic Program Manager.

Qualifications

  • A Master’s Degree in Science, Education, or related field, plus three years of relevant program experience preferable in higher education or a combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills are acquired.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of individuals.
  • Ability to work independently as well as a member of a team.
