Long Term Substitute for FHS Post-Secondary Counselor
Falmouth High School is seeking a certified or candidate eligible for conditional certification as a School Counselor to join our team from January 5, 2026 through early April 2026. This counselor will provide a range of services for students in grades 11-12, including academic advising, college planning, and career counseling. Our approach is student-centered, relationship-focused, and designed to empower students with the tools they need to be successful in their future endeavors.
The ideal candidate:
- Has experience providing college and career counseling services to high school students, either through working as a high school counselor or as a private college counselor
- Is passionate about working with students and has a genuine concern for their academic growth and character development
- Is a team player who is positive and enjoys working collaboratively
- Has strong oral and written communication skills
- Can juggle multiple responsibilities and prioritize effectively
- Is culturally competent and committed to equity in their practice as a counselor
Qualifications / Certifications / Experience / Degree Requirements:
-075 School Counselor Certification
-Experience working with high school students
-Approved background check (run by the district)
Wage and Benefits:
Teacher Scale - BA, Step 0, per diem rate ($287.00/day). This position does not include benefits.
