Coordinates and performs specific registration / enrollment services including, student registration procedures, grade processing, enrollment/degree verification, transcript request processing, work- study supervision and other related production and records management functions. Shares in the overall operation and mission of the Registrar’s Office by providing timely, effective and courteous assistance to students, faculty, administration, and other constituents for the UNE community.


  • Assist and support the service operations and daily production of the Registrar’s Office
  • Follow and enforce administrative policies and procedures
  • Perform data entry tasks and ensure data integrity
  • Monitor and respond to communications received from the office E-Mail account
  • Maintain effectiveness, accuracy, and confidentiality during all registrar processes
  • Ability to research and problem solve complex records issues
  • Coordinate and share responsibility for office / phone coverage
  • Provide cross-training in areas of individual expertise to assigned staff members
  • Participate in cross-training sessions in addition to departmental and university wide training requirements
  • Coordinate assignments for support staff and / or work-study
  • Manage office operations to include handling mail/packages, office supplies and maintenance and repair of office equipment
  • Mange student records and file maintenance for both paper and electronic documentation
  • Effectively communicate and present a professional image with students, faculty and various University offices / constituents in all communications and interactions
  • Coordinate and manage student registration cycles
  • Support and process all aspects of enrollment and degree verifications
  • Support academic catalog processing
  • Support and process all aspects of schedule building
  • Remain current on internal and external practices
  • Assist and participate in all graduation processes as related to Registrar Office functions
  • Migrate graduated students to Alumni Advancement
  • Assist with maintenance of the departmental website
  • Coordinate and manage academic room scheduling for the university
  • Coordinate room assignments for conferences, meeting, and other events
  • Work collaboratively with Departments, Facilities, and Information Technology to communicate enhancements and resolve issues/complaints
  • Understand and comply with the University of New England Safety Manual and Employee Handbook
  • Perform other related duties as assigned


High School diploma or equivalent plus at least three years of experience working in records management, database management or office administration or a combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills are acquired.

  • Ability to analyze, plan, prioritize, organize, and complete tasks on a timeline while tending to daily customer service duties
  • Critical thinking and problem solving ability in order to make independent decisions and judgment consistent with the level of the position
  • Ability to communicate and interact collaboratively and proactively with a variety of individuals, including students, faculty, administrators, parents and representatives of outside organizations
  • Ability to work interdependently, independently with minimum supervision
  • Detail oriented demonstrating accuracy to ensure data integrity
  • Extensive experience with computers and associated software applications: word processing, spreadsheets, presentation, E-mail, and database
