Northern Light Acadia Hospital is seeking an experienced Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our inpatient care team in a unique role supporting Adult and Pediatric Inpatient Services. This is a full-time opportunity (32 hours/week) designed for a practitioner who values both collaboration and autonomy within a specialized psychiatric setting. Schedule of Friday and Saturday, 4:00 PM – 8:00 AM, on-site.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations
  • Initiate and manage treatment interventions, including medication management
  • Provide follow-up evaluations as clinically indicated
  • Lead and participate in interdisciplinary team meetings
  • Collaborate closely with Medical Directors, psychiatrists, other PMHNPs, therapists, and behavioral health technicians
  • Service as a clinical resource, mentor, and preceptor for inpatient staff
  • Demonstrate strong clinical judgement, leadership, and teaching skills in a fast-paced environment
