This description is representative of a Pharmacy Technician 1. The successful candidate will be hired at the Pharmacy Technician level I, II, or III that is commensurate with the level of education, experience and certifications the candidate possesses.

The Pharmacy Technician is an essential member of the staff at Northern Light Pharmacy. Technicians provide support for multiple facets of the operations of the Pharmacy, including exceptional customer service, answer phone in a timely manner, patient interaction, data entry, prescription preparation and sales of prescriptions, other merchandise, stock, order and maintain front store product.
Must complete registration with Maine Board of Pharmacy as a pharmacy technician within one month of accepting position if not currently registered with the Board of Pharmacy.
High School Diploma or equivalent
Must be familiar/proficient with computer use
Prior experience/proficiency with i.e. Microsoft Office
Must have ability to adapt to work situations such as independent work and/or team environments
Stooping, reaching, bending, walking, stretching, grasping, repetitive motions
Subject to sitting or standing for prolonged periods of time up to 4 hours at a time
Visual acuity, to include color, depth perception and field of vision with or without correction
Moderate lifting (up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds frequently, and/or 10 pounds constantly)
Sufficient auditory function to hear phones, pages, instrument and/or system alarms, verbal commands
Must be able to communicate verbally with others, to include phone and/or radio equipment
