Located a ½ mile from the Atlantic Ocean and 15 minutes from Portland, RSU#23 is a 675 student district seeking a BCBA to join our special education team. This is a full-time, teacher contract position that is on-going and not grant funded. The successful candidate should possess the following:
CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Board Certified Behavior Analyst
- Valid Maine DOE Criminal History Records Check (CHRC)
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support students and staff within the classroom setting
- Assist in the development of programs to serve students with behavioral challenges
- Provide consultation to administration, programs, and individual staff members
- Design and deliver appropriate professional development, in response to district needs
- Conduct and write Functional Behavior Assessments
- Develop and implement Positive Behavior Support Plans
- Co-facilitate various team meetings across district as a behavior program coordinator and leader
- Provide coaching to implement data-driven behavior strategies
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Knowledge of Chapter 101 Regulations
- Willingness to collaborate with colleagues and share best practices
- Excellent communication with parents, teachers, administrators, community leaders and other stakeholders to promote and support student success
- Demonstrated ability of understanding and supporting the social and emotional needs of students with varying needs
- Exemplary time management and organizational skills
