Function:  Working under the direction and guidelines established by the Director of Treasury & Payment Services the TPS Support Manager is responsible for four primary areas:  Managing Support Team, Overseeing Client Servicing, implementation and transitioning, Department training and participating and/or leading TPS related projects.  TPS Support Manager acts as the liaison between the sales staff and the servicing personnel, and also oversees the client servicing team.  
The TPS Support Manager possesses a comprehensive understanding of the bank processing regulatory environment, industry trends and practices and has a thorough working knowledge of Bangor Savings Bank’s policies and procedures.  
Client Servicing:
  • Engage in technical discussions with potential clients to uncover needs and provide solutions.
  • Lead and coordinate preparation of proposals and oversee transition process for new clients.
  • Ensure Senior Transition Specialist Coordinate and conduct customer training and provide client support, both on-site and via telephone with the highest level or service and conduct when necessary.
  • Work with support staff, management and various departments within the bank to identify, prioritize and resolve complex client servicing issues.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for cross sells and service enhancements for the purpose of improving client satisfaction and generating additional deposit and fee income for the Bank to share with Support Team and Director of Treasury and Payment Services.
    Human Resources & Employee Development:
  • Performs HR administrative functions including recommendations regarding employment including hiring, promoting and performance management.
  • Responsible for Employee Annual Reviews.
  • Resolves personnel issues.
  • Oversees work allocation, reviewing and improving procedures, training, coaching and development of staff.
  • Ensure appropriate department staffing and servicing standards
  • Ensure that servicing staff is cross-trained in all necessary job functions
  • Work with employees on career development with a goal of reduced turnover and increased employee satisfaction.
  • Ensure servicing team is meeting goals for referrals and annual reviews
Strategy & Process:
  • Remain knowledgeable and up-to-date on changes and developments in cash management and e-commerce, monitoring market trends, competitive practices and regulatory changes.
  • Evaluate and improve systems and procedures with a focus on efficiency and compliance.
  • Participate or lead TPS related projects related to new products, enhancements or regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee timely and accurate production of monthly department reports and invoices.
  • Recommend development and enhancement of promotional materials to effectively market the cash management.
  • Informally and formally provides training and support for Bank employees.
  • Interact harmoniously and effectively with others, focusing upon the attainment of bank goals and objectives through a commitment to teamwork.
  • Conforms to acceptable punctuality/attendance standards as expressed in the Employee Handbook.
  • Performs additional duties as requested.
  • In-state travel:25%.
Knowledge/Skills/Experience Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 3+ years cash management experience preferred
  • 5+ years of banking and customer relations experience combined, with an ability to understand and work automated systems, procedures and their development
  • In-depth knowledge of industry products and trends
  • Strong leadership and team building skills with previous supervisory experience preferred. 
  • Solid PC skills required:word processing, spreadsheet software, presentations, graphics
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills with an ability to interact effectively with all levels of staff and management, both internally and with clients
  • Self starter, comfortable working independently, and the ability to multi-task.
  • Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) and Accredited ACH Professional (AAP) certification recommended.
Physical Demands/Conditions Requirements:
General office environment.  Moderate lifting (to 35 lbs.) required.  Moderate reaching, walking, sitting and standing required.
