The RTI Teacher is an integral member of a dynamic Elementary Response to Intervention (RTI) team, responsible for designing and delivering responsive, flexible, and individualized instructional plans for Tier 3 students. This interventionist provides targeted instruction in both literacy and mathematics using evidence-based practices, and uses progress monitoring and benchmark data to inform instructional decisions. This is a part-time (0.5) position.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as an RTI teacher providing Tier III targeted intervention at the elementary level
- Maine certification (020)
- Experience using a variety of interventions to target specific needs
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct, targeted instruction in literacy and mathematics
- Design and implement strategies to support individual student growth
- Collect, organize, and analyze data to inform and adjust instruction
- Use a variety of assessment tools to monitor student progress and achievement
- Apply a range of instructional techniques, materials, and programs aligned to curriculum goals
- Evaluate the effectiveness of interventions and refine Tier 2 and Tier 3 supports accordingly
- Support educational technicians in designing and delivering responsive Tier 2 interventions
- Collaborate with classroom teachers and educational technicians to ensure cohesive programming for students receiving RTI services
- Build strong, positive relationships with students and families
- Perform other duties as assigned
