Client Accounting Specialist (Remote)

Location: Remote (Candidates must reside in Maine, New Hampshire, or Massachusetts)
Pay: $30.00/hour

We're seeking a detail-oriented Client Accounting Specialist to provide high-quality accounting and bookkeeping support to a portfolio of clients. This fully remote position is ideal for someone who thrives in a virtual environment, enjoys building client relationships, and has strong experience with QuickBooks Online.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting functions for multiple clients
• Maintain bank and credit card activity within the general ledger
• Process accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll as needed
• Prepare and post journal entries and accurately categorize transactions
• Perform account reconciliations
• Assist with preparing financial statements and management reports
• Communicate regularly with clients, serving as a trusted resource for accounting-related questions
• Meet deadlines while managing multiple client priorities
• Participate in team meetings and collaborate with colleagues to ensure exceptional client service
• Perform additional accounting and administrative duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Associate degree (or higher) in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
• Minimum of 3 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience
• Advanced proficiency with QuickBooks Online
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Experience with cloud-based accounting and document management software is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to prioritize competing deadlines and adapt to changing client needs
• Professional, collaborative, and client-focused approach
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a remote environment
