  • Position Summary

    • The Echocardiograph Technologist performs 2-dimenstional Ultrasonic recordings and Doppler flow analyses of heart and related structures on adult patients for use by Physicians in diagnosis of heart disease. Responsible for the care and safety of patients undergoing these examinations and conducts all job responsibilities in accordance with the mission, vision, policies and procedures of the Diagnostic Imaging Team and LincolnHealth.

  • Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

    • Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    • Must possess skills to pay strong attention to detail and ability to focus and concentrate on task at hand.

    • Current BCLS

    • Certified by the ARDMS (American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers) as a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer

    • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

    • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.

    • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
